Abstract

This article presents experimental research aimed at examining the productive and receptive vocabulary of 8th-grade students in their mother tongue. Based on the research findings, the consistency of conclusions drawn from similar studies conducted abroad was examined. In addition, students’ performance on tasks based on newly learned words was analyzed and compared.
