Abstract

Our results generally confirm existing global data on genetic markers of stage 3 diabetic nephropathy. Three polymorphisms (EDN1 Lys197Asn, COMT Val158Met, SOD2 C47T) have high prognostic value and can be used to develop a genetic panel to assess the risk of developing diabetic nephropathy.
