Abstract

This study is devoted to investigating the clinical and obstetric course of pregnancy in women with hypothyroidism and obesity. The study included 80 women aged 25 to 55 years, whose clinical, hormonal, biochemical, and obstetric parameters were thoroughly analyzed. The results demonstrated that the degree of obesity and thyroid hormone imbalance directly affect the complicated course of pregnancy. It was found that women with hypothyroidism and obesity have a significantly higher incidence of gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, fetoplacental insufficiency, and fetal hypoxia compared to healthy pregnant women.
