Abstract

This study comprehensively investigates the morphological and morphometric changes occurring in the morphofunctional zones of tracheobronchial lymph nodes under conditions of preeclampsia. In the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, the immunological conflict between the mother and the fetus plays a leading role. This is characterized by the entry of fetal (primarily paternal) antigens into the maternal bloodstream and the subsequent formation of antigen–antibody complexes. In normal pregnancy, mechanisms of immune tolerance—particularly those mediated by the T-suppressor system—help to eliminate this conflict. However, insufficient functioning of these mechanisms leads to an усиление иммунопатологических реакций, placental damage, and the development of preeclampsia.
