Abstract

The potential radiation exposure of a person or worker in workshops covered with crushed mining dust mainly comes from two sources: the first is external gamma radiation generated by radionuclides in raw materials and the second is internal radiation resulting from inhalation of radon and its decay products. An assessment model was developed to predict the amount of gamma radiation from the radiation of crushed sand in the workshop and its movement in the air. In this case, internal radiation resulting from inhalation of radon and its decay products was calculated using data on radon emissions.
