Abstract
This study aims to identify the characteristics of cognitive changes occurring after general anesthesia and to analyze the mechanisms of memory recovery. Based on clinical observations and standardized neuropsychological tests, the results demonstrated a significant decline in cognitive activity in the postoperative period. The recovery process occurs gradually, and its speed depends on individual patient characteristics. In particular, the likelihood of long-term cognitive impairment remains high in high-risk groups.
