Abstract. This article explores the role of independent thinking in the development of students’ intellectual potential. In modern education, the ability to think critically, analyze information, and make autonomous decisions is becoming increasingly important. The study highlights the significance of fostering independent thinking skills among students and examines effective pedagogical approaches to achieve this goal. The results indicate that the development of independent thinking contributes significantly to students’ cognitive growth, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
