Abstract

This article provides a broader coverage of the modern problems of clinical pharmacology and their role in medical practice. It analyzes the effectiveness, safety, and side effects of drugs, as well as the issues of drug–drug interactions. The increasing antibiotic resistance, the growing incidence of polypharmacy, and the necessity of an individual approach to patients are considered important issues. At the same time, the difficulties in the development and clinical testing of new drugs and the role of modern digital technologies in clinical pharmacology are discussed. In particular, the importance of improving pharmacovigilance systems, strengthening the quality control of medicinal products, and preventing counterfeit drugs is emphasized. It is also noted that the implementation of scientific approaches is essential to ensure patient safety and improve treatment effectiveness.
