CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT OF RESPECT AND RAPPORT IN THE CLASSROOM.

Abstract

The classroom environment plays a vital role in students’ academic success and emotional well-being. This article examines the importance of establishing respect and rapport as key components of an effective learning environment. It explores how positive teacher–student and student–student interactions contribute to engagement, motivation, and inclusive learning. Drawing on established educational theories, the paper identifies practical strategies for fostering respectful communication, trust, and collaboration in the classroom. The findings suggest that a supportive environment enhances not only academic outcomes but also students’ confidence and social development.
