Abstract
This paper explores the linguistic features, semantic fields, and sociocultural implications of ethnonyms in English and Uzbek languages. Ethnonyms, or names used to refer to ethnic groups, carry profound significance in identity construction, intercultural communication, and minority representation. By comparing English and Uzbek ethnonyms, the study highlights differences in morphological construction, historical background, and usage contexts. The research aims to contribute to cross-linguistic studies and deepen understanding of how languages encode ethnic identities.
