Abstract
This article explores alternative assessment methods in modern classrooms, focusing on their role in improving student learning and engagement. Traditional testing methods are often limited in measuring students' overall abilities, while alternative assessment provides a more comprehensive evaluation of skills. The study examines different forms such as portfolios, peer assessment, self-assessment, project-based evaluation, and performance tasks. It also highlights the importance of feedback, learner autonomy, and continuous assessment. Overall, the article emphasizes that alternative assessment methods create a more student-centered and effective learning environment.
