Abstract

The article highlights the essence of the 21st century educational paradigm and the STEAM program based on an integrative approach. The pedagogical and psychological foundations of interdisciplinary integration, international assessment programs (PISA, PIRLS) are analyzed. The relevance of using the STEAM program in teaching 7th grade biology and its importance in forming students' natural and scientific literacy are substantiated.
