Abstract
This paper analyzes the pivotal role of the intellectual class in shaping Uzbekistan’s spiritual, cultural, and educational development during the years of independence. The collapse of the Soviet Union left a moral and ideological vacuum, which the state aimed to overcome through a comprehensive spiritual revival. President Islam Karimov emphasized the importance of overcoming the spiritual crisis and promoting national values. Intellectuals played a crucial role in this process by reviving national traditions, studying historical figures like Alisher Navoi, and contributing to the moral enlightenment of society.
