Abstract

In this paper we have studied the solar radiation availability for flat south-facing surfaces. Optimal monthly, seasonal, and annual tilt angles were estimated. Solar radiation received by the incident plane was estimated using isotropic sky analysis models, namely the Liu and Jordan model. The optimal annual tilt angle for the study area was 34.7°. The annual solar energy gain and optimal monthly, seasonal, and annual tilt angles for the inclined surface were determined for the Jizzakh region.
