Abstract

This article explores the artistic mastery of Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield through the concepts of fidelity to life reality and profound reflection in his famous epistolary work Letters to His Son. The study analyzes how Chesterfield skillfully combines moral instruction, philosophical observation, aesthetic education, and practical life experience in order to shape the intellectual and ethical character of his son. Particular attention is devoted to the writer’s realistic worldview, his critical understanding of society, and his deep psychological observations concerning human behavior, education, diplomacy, communication, etiquette, and self-development.
