Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of the lithographic copy of Saif Zafar Bukhari’s “Durrul Majolisi Turki”. The work is called “Durrul Majolis” and is written in Persian. This work was translated from Persian into Turkish by His Excellency Sultan Sayyid Khoja Ibn Mahmud Khoja Eshon Toshkandiy. After the translation, the work was called “Durrul Majolisi Turki”. The lithographic copy of “Durrul Majolis Turki” is stored in the Bukhara Regional Library named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino under inventory number 726. This book was printed in 1910 at the Ghulam printing house in Tashkent and consists of 240 pages. Although this book was printed in Tashkent, it is being studied conditionally under the name “Bukhara lithography” since it is stored in the Bukhara manuscript fund. This study provides information about the lithography of Saif Zafar Bukhari’s work “Durrul Majolisi Turki”, which has not yet been specifically studied in the literature. The work talks about prophets, companions, and famous sheikhs of Sufism whose names are mentioned in the Holy Kuran. It also contains moral-didactic stories. There are also descriptive articles about the work, but no independent research has been conducted on “Durrul Majolisi Turki”. The lithograph consists of 33 chapters, which contain stories related to the lives of 12 prophets such as Muhammad, Adam, Abraham, and Moses. However, the stories about these prophets are not presented in order, but rather didactic stories called “Doing good to parents, speaking kindly, and making them happy.” There are also chapters such as “Describing the virtues of Ramadan,” “Describing the virtues of the Kaaba”.
