Abstract

This article examines the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) portfolios into English language classes as an innovative pedagogical approach to enhance both linguistic competence and global awareness among students. The study highlights how SDG-oriented tasks and portfolio-based learning can foster critical thinking, intercultural communication, and a sense of social responsibility. By incorporating real-world global challenges into language learning, students are encouraged to engage with authentic content, develop reflective skills, and actively participate in problem-solving activities. The research emphasizes the role of English as a global language in promoting sustainable development values and equipping learners with the competencies necessary for the 21st century.
