Modern Trends in The Harmony of Interior Design and Architecture
Abstract
The relationship between interior design and architecture has evolved into a highly integrated and interdisciplinary field in contemporary practice. This study explores modern trends that shape the harmony between these two disciplines, focusing on minimalism, biophilic design, sustainability, digital technologies, adaptive reuse, and smart interior systems. A qualitative research approach was applied based on literature review and comparative analysis of recent academic sources and case studies. The findings indicate that successful spatial harmony depends on continuous collaboration between architects and interior designers, supported by technological innovation and human-centered design principles. The study also reveals that sustainability and digitalization play a key role in creating functional, adaptable, and environmentally responsible spaces. Overall, the integration of architecture and interior design is essential for achieving coherent spatial experiences and improving user well-being in modern built environments.
