Abstract

This article investigates the monumental contribution of the renowned Oriental scholar, Professor Shoislom Shomuhammedov, to the formation and development of Uzbek Iranian studies and literary translation studies. The scholar’s theoretical frameworks regarding the study of Classical Persian-Tajik literature, alongside his mastery in elevating a translated text to the level of a poetic equivalent from the original source, are scrutinized through a comparative-linguistic analysis. Furthermore, the article elucidates the fundamental principles of the school of Iranian studies founded by Sh. Shomuhammedov.
