Abstract

This article examines the artistic interpretation of identity in modern Uzbek poetry. The study focuses on personal, national, cultural, and social forms of self-awareness reflected in contemporary poetic discourse. It is argued that in Uzbek poetry of the post-independence period, the problem of identity is expressed not only through national values, but also through historical memory, language, homeland, spiritual experience, female subjectivity, globalization, and modern social reality. The article demonstrates that identity in modern poetry is represented through poetic images, symbols, the lyrical “I”, historical memory, and cultural codes.
