Abstract

The effectiveness of pedagogical activity is one of the most important indicators of educational quality in general secondary education systems worldwide. Evaluating teaching effectiveness enables educational institutions to identify strengths and weaknesses in instructional processes, improve student learning outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of education. Comprehensive evaluation mechanisms contribute to transparency, accountability, and continuous professional growth among teachers. This article examines the theoretical foundations, principles, indicators, methods, and contemporary approaches to evaluating pedagogical activity effectiveness in general secondary education. Furthermore, it highlights challenges and recommendations for developing fair, reliable, and sustainable assessment systems that support educational excellence and foster continuous improvement in teaching practices.
