Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of women’s virtues and their role in society in the works of Alisher Navoi and Jane Austen. In Navoi’s works, women are predominantly portrayed as symbols of spiritual purity, loyalty, and chastity, whereas in Jane Austen’s works, emphasis is placed on women’s intelligence, independent thinking, and social status. The article reveals similarities and differences in the representation of female characters in the works of both authors and offers general conclusions about the important role of women in societal development.
