Abstract
The article addresses gamification as an instructional approach in teaching Russian as a foreign language to primary schoolchildren aged 7 through 10. Drawing on meta-analytic evidence (Sailer M., Homner L.; Bai S., Hew K. F., Huang B.; Fadhli M.), the study aligns 6 game mechanics with 6 linguistic targets relevant to early RFL acquisition. Empirical findings from Kahoot, Wordwall, Quizlet and Duolingo studies are synthesised with field-internal RFL evidence from the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan. The article demonstrates a children-specific effect size of g = 1.01 (Fadhli M.) and identifies practical configurations for Cyrillic script, phonetics, lexis, case morphology and verbal aspect.
