Abstract
This article describes modern ways of developing professional competencies of teachers, their theoretical foundations and practical significance. Professional competence is interpreted as a multifaceted concept of pedagogical skills, methodological training, communication culture, digital literacy and innovative teacher activity. The article discusses such modern methods as advanced training, continuous training, reflection, mentoring, online courses, creative collaboration and the use of digital technologies. In addition, the development of teacher qualifications is due to its role in improving the quality of education, strengthening personally oriented training and the formation of competitive teaching staff.
