Abstract

This article examines the psychological and methodological foundations of oral speech activity in foreign language teaching. The study highlights the close relationship between methodology and psychology, emphasizing that the effectiveness of language learning largely depends on learners’ psychological readiness, motivation, memory, attention, and communicative autonomy. The paper analyzes the concepts of knowledge, skills, habits, and competences, as well as their role in the development of oral speech. Special attention is given to the transformation of theoretical linguistic knowledge into practical communicative skills through systematic exercises and real-life communicative practice.
