Abstract

This article examines the development and implementation of a virtual model of a laboratory lesson titled “Observing the Movement of Paramecium” designed for 7th-grade students in general secondary schools of Uzbekistan, as well as its impact on students’ mastery of learning content. The virtual laboratory is designed to demonstrate the movement mechanisms of microscopic organisms through near real-time animations and interactive simulations, aiming to enhance students’ visual perception, observational skills, and analytical abilities. The study involved both experimental and control groups, and the results revealed that students who used the virtual laboratory demonstrated significantly higher levels of topic comprehension, motivation, and interest compared to those taught using traditional instructional methods. In addition, the observed levels of usability, classroom engagement, and opportunities for independent learning confirmed the pedagogical effectiveness of the virtual platform. The findings indicate that virtual laboratories serve as an effective tool for teaching complex microscopic processes in biology education and provide recommendations for extending this approach to other subject areas.
