Abstract

This article examines the historical development and interpretation of the concepts of "ethnos," "ethnic group," and "interethnic relations" in the academic literature. The study analyzes how these concepts have been defined in different periods and how they have been shaped by social, cultural, and political processes. Specifically, it examines the historical dynamics of ethnic diversity and interethnic relations in the context of Central Asia and explores the role of these relations in the development of society. The study draws on historical sources, ethnographic data, and contemporary theoretical approaches, offering a holistic perspective on issues of ethnic identity, cultural interaction, and social integration.
