Abstract

The article examines the role of the emotional development of senior preschool children as afundamental mechanism for the internal regulation of a child's mental activity and behavior. The study provides an analysis of the influence of family factors on the formation of emotionaldisturbances in children aged 5–6 years. The results obtained indicate that the intensity ofemotional disturbances in senior group pupils is mediated by both gender and family factors.Statistically significant correlations were identified between a directive style of maternalinteraction (high demandingness, strictness, and control) and negative features of emotionaldevelopment in senior preschool children, manifested in the formation of anxiety, fears, andnegativism.
