Abstract

The article examines the role of international cooperation in the transition to a green economy and its economic outcomes. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of the green economy, the importance of green finance and innovative technologies, as well as the processes of transitioning to a low-carbon economy based on scientific literature. In addition, an empirical analysis was conducted based on indicators of electricity production and pollutant emissions across regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the period 2020-2024. The results show that alongside the increase in electricity production, the level of environmental burden has also risen in some regions. The study concludes with scientifically grounded recommendations aimed at accelerating the transition to a green economy, expanding the use of renewable energy sources, and strengthening international cooperation.
