Abstract
This article examines the linguocultural aspects of humor translation in contemporary English literature. Humor represents one of the most culturally specific and linguistically complex elements of literary discourse. Contemporary English literary works frequently employ irony, satire, wordplay, puns, and culture-bound jokes that reflect the social values, traditions, and worldview of English-speaking communities. These humorous elements often create significant challenges for translators because their interpretation depends not only on linguistic knowledge but also on cultural background and shared social experience.
