Abstract

This article provides information about the psychological changes that occur in children of primary school age during the process of preparing for school. It analyzes the cognitive processes, skills, adaptability, emotional-volitional state, as well as changes in social relationships of children aged 7–10. During this period, the developmental features of such mental processes as attention, memory, thinking, and speech are explained on a scientific basis
