Abstract

This article examines the ethno-cultural, economic, and political ties between the Khiva Khanate and Afghanistan, analyzing regional migration processes and their causes based on various historical sources. In the 19th century, some Afghan tribes migrated to the territory of the Khiva Khanate, lived among its population, and participated in military operations. Particular attention in the research is paid to the influence of the Jamshidi tribe on the ethno-cultural processes of the Khiva Khanate. Relations between Khiva and Afghanistan were strengthened through trade and economic ties.
