Abstract
This thesis examines the history of the Kipchak ethnos formation, their initial appearance in the Altai region, and their westward migration processes. Based on historical sources, the research analyzes the interactions between the Kipchaks and Kimaks, Oghuz, and other Turkic tribes, as well as the emergence of the Desht-i-Kipchak territory. The author substantiates the role of the Kipchak language as a unifying factor and explores the ethnic processes within the Golden Horde.
