Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of developing pronunciation skills in the process of teaching English. In particular, the components of phonetic competence, including sound system, stress, rhythm, and intonation, are thoroughly examined. Furthermore, the issue of language interference caused by the influence of the mother tongue and ways to overcome it are discussed. In addition, the effectiveness of modern pedagogical technologies and communicative approaches in teaching pronunciation is substantiated.
