REACTION OF LOOSE CONNECTIVE TISSUE IN INFLAMMATORY PERIODONTAL DISEASES
ABI
Abstract
Abstract: This article scientifically analyzes the types of collagen fibers in loose connective tissue, their synthesis processes, and their response to inflammatory periodontal diseases. Histological preparations, electron microscopic images, and scientific literature were used as research materials. The results show that the main part of periodontal tissues consists of type I collagen, the metabolism of which highly depends on fibroblast activity. During the inflammatory process, as a result of leukocyte infiltration, the balance of collagen synthesis and catabolism is disrupted, which in turn leads to the formation of pathological periodontal pockets.
