Abstract

Early identification of genetic syndromes and neurodevelopmental disorders represents a critical window for intervention that can significantly alter developmental trajectories. This chapter examines contemporary approaches to developmental screening, diagnostic protocols, and evidence-based intervention models for children with genetic syndromes. Through systematic analysis of recent advances in screening technologies, including digital phenotyping and genomic workflows, we explore how multidisciplinary teams implement early detection strategies across diverse populations. The chapter synthesizes current evidence on family-centered intervention approaches, naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions, and parent-mediated programs that demonstrate measurable improvements in child outcomes and family quality of life.
