Comprehending Students/Teachers' Motivations in Cybersecurity/AI-Powered Metaverse Education Applications
Abstract
E-learning has become an important pillar of all aspects of life. In educational contexts, the Internet of Things, augmented reality, and virtual reality are all incorporated into the metaverse (MV), a network of linked virtual worlds that allows for realistic dimensional experiences. Examining the possible effects, such as privacy/ security, in this context is crucial as the use of MV is growing in many fields, including e-education security. Therefore, using the technology acceptance model (TAM) and hedonic consumption behavior theory (HCBT) is important to determine the acceptability of MV security in supporting the educational environment. The chapter supports the significance of TAM, HCBT, trust, identity, privacy, and security framework (TIPS), and understanding students'/teachers' security issues in understanding the adoption of the MV in e-education. Also, this chapter outlines the incentives for students and teachers to adopt MV in education systems. Finally, this chapter provides recommendations and strategic insights into adopting MV security in educational systems.
