Abstract

In this article, the problems of learning new languages is discussed and there are given solutions which will assist to learn them faster. The article also addresses the complex challenges of language acquisition in three categories: psychological barriers, neurobiological constraints, and sociocultural factors. It relies on cognitive theory, including Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve, and juxtaposes the processes of first and second language acquisition. It provides practical tools, with a particular focus on communicative approaches, spaced repetition systems, and technological tools.
