Heavy Mesons and Neutral Axial-Vector Currents

Abstract

It is suggested that the eighth and ninth axial-vector currents are dominated by the ${J}^{P}={0}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ mesons $\ensuremath{\eta}(549)$, ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}(958)$, and the (presumed) ${J}^{P}={1}^{+}$ mesons $D(1285)$ and $E(1422)$. Predictions are made concerning the decay modes of $D$ and $E$ as well as for the $\mathrm{DNN}$ and $\mathrm{ENN}$ couplings.
