Abstract
We obtain the exact wave functions for an electron in a certain class of time-dependent electromagnetic fields. When the time variation of the electromagnetic field is far from the adiabaticity condition, i.e., the situation is nonadiabatic, the geometric phase appears, which is a noncyclic one in general.
