Abstract

A novel Bi<sub>4</sub>O<sub>5</sub>Br<sub>2</sub> ultrathin nanosheets material with 8 nm thickness was prepared via a reactable ionic liquids-assisted solvothermal method accompanied with facile pH control for the first time. The variable energy band structure of Bi<sub>4</sub>O<sub>5</sub>Br<sub>2</sub> was responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic activity.
