Abstract

The region of Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC), encompassing Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia and Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia in the Caucasus, has undergone tremendous economic and social change following the dissolution of the former Soviet Union.
