Abstract

The aim of the present work is to investigate the effect of substituting B<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>for Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>in a non-stoichiometric lithium disilicate (Li<sub>2</sub>Si<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>, LS<sub>2</sub>) glass composition belonging to the system Li<sub>2</sub>O–K<sub>2</sub>O–Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>–SiO<sub>2</sub>.
