Optimal quadrature formulas based on the '-function method

Abstract

In this survey paper it is studied the optimality in sense of Nikolski for some classes of quadrature formulas, using the method of '- function. It is presented the one-to-one correspondence between '-func- tions and the quadrature formulas. Also, there are given some examples of quadrature formulas which are optimal in sense of Nikolski with regard to the error.
