Identification of an electromagnetic coefficient connected with deformation currents

Abstract

The authors consider the problem of identifying four coefficients entering the Maxwell equations. The first three of them express the usual electromagnetic properties of the region R under consideration, while the fourth one expresses the influence of a vibrating elastic (isotropic) body (occupying a sub-region E) on the electromagnetic field. Existence, uniqueness and stability results are proved.
