Abstract

The rate of biodegradation of total petrol hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oil, petrol and in particular aromatic hydrocarbons was enhanced as a result of stimulation with coherent light of the inoculum of dermatophyte Trichophyton mentagrophytes var.granulosum selected from the sample of soil contaminated for a long time with petrol pollutants.Especially effective was biodegradation of the hydrocarbons after short time photostimulation of the fungi inoculum with laser emitting red light.
