Abstract
On the basis of experimental studies and on the basis of the dependences of V.F. Pushkarev and B.A. Shulyak, dependences were obtained to determine the parameters of the bottom ridge of earthen canals under conditions of stationary flow. And also, a relationship has been established between the dimensions of the ridge at stationarity and non-stationarity of the water flow, and dependencies have been proposed to determine the parameters of the ridge under conditions when waves are superimposed on a passing current. The experimental and calculated values of the ridge parameters were compared and they showed satisfactory results.
