Abstract

We report measurements of the osmotic susceptibility \ensuremath{\chi} and long-range correlation length \ensuremath{\xi} of binary mixtures of the nonionic surfactant n-dodecyl octaoxyethylene glycol monoether with ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$O and ${\mathrm{D}}_{2}$O, near the lower consolute temperature. Regardless of which solvent is used, we find 3D-Ising exponent values for both \ensuremath{\gamma} and \ensuremath{\nu}, the exponents which describe the divergences of \ensuremath{\chi} and \ensuremath{\xi}, respectively.
