Abstract
The lithosphere, the 200-km depth comprising the earth’s crust and the upper part of the mantle, has been studied in Central Asia since the 1940s to help correlate near-surface and deep geologic structures. It is also useful in earthquake pattern investigation and to reveal trends in mineral deposits distribution.
