Abstract

X-ray standing waves generated above a gold mirror surface during total-external reflection are used to unambiguously locate a zinc ion layer which is embedded \ensuremath{\sim}200 A\r{} above the mirror surface in a Langmuir-Blodgett multilayer with a precision of 2 A\r{}. .AE
